There are a number of walks in the area with stunning views over the countryside and out to sea. Noss Mayo is approx 20 minute drive away from the cottage.

Dartmoor
You can access Dartmoor from a number of places but the nearest is just west of Bittaford, see map below. At the top of the lane there are limited parking spaces so an early start is recommended. If the weather is good the views are stunning from the top of Western Beacon.
There is a car park at Shipley Bridge where this walk starts. You can walk up to Avon Dam Reservoir and back which is approximately 3 miles or loop around the reservoir and return to the car park on the dismantled tramway, approx 7 miles.
